Overview

Oman uses the Wafid system for all GCC work visa medicals from South Asia. The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) in Oman is the governing body. Oman Vision 2040 has increased demand for skilled workers.

Medical Requirements

• Mandatory tests: chest X-ray (TB), HIV, Hepatitis B & C, physical examination.
• Oman requires medical fitness before Residence Card (RC) issuance.
• Domestic workers must have contract registered with MoM before medical.
• Medical report must match the passport exactly — name spelling matters.
• Oman has a streamlined process for skilled workers in IT and engineering sectors.
