Overview

Qatar expanded Wafid medical requirements after hosting the 2022 World Cup. Domestic worker and construction sectors are the highest volume. Medical is processed via the Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) in some origin countries.

Medical Requirements

• Mandatory: chest X-ray, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, blood group, physical exam.
• Qatar has zero tolerance for communicable diseases at entry.
• Hayya card holders had streamlined medicals — standard process now resumes.
• Medical required before Residence Permit (RP) issuance.
• Ensure your vaccine records are updated — Qatar may request proof.
