Complete Document Checklist for Your Wafid Medical

Going to your Wafid medical centre? Bring every document on this list to avoid rejection, delays, or having to return a second time.

Showing up to your Wafid (GAMCA) medical without the right documents is one of the most common mistakes applicants make — and it means a wasted trip. Here's the complete checklist so you're fully prepared.

Mandatory Documents (All Applicants)

  • Original passport — The passport you are applying the visa under. It must be valid for at least 6 months.
  • Photocopy of passport bio-data page — A clear A4 photocopy of the page with your photo and personal details.
  • 4 recent passport-size photos — White background, taken within the last 3 months. No glasses, no headgear (except for religious reasons).
  • Wafid booking confirmation — Print the booking receipt from the Wafid portal or save it on your phone. The medical centre will scan the QR code.
  • National Identity Card (NID / CNIC / Nagarikta / NIC) — Required in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Additional Documents (Where Applicable)

  • Visa application reference or sponsor number — Required for Wafid booking; your employer or sponsor should provide this.
  • Previous medical reports — If you have had a Wafid medical before, bring the old report (especially if you're going for a retest).
  • Medical records for known conditions — If you have diabetes, hypertension, TB history, Hepatitis, or HIV — bring your treatment records and doctor's letter.
  • Pregnancy declaration — Women who are pregnant should inform the centre before the chest X-ray.
  • Employer letter (some countries) — Qatar and Kuwait occasionally require a letter from the employer confirming the visa category.

What NOT to Bring

  • No need to fast — the blood tests do not require fasting in most cases.
  • Do not bring children to the centre — they are not allowed inside most testing areas.
  • Do not bring valuables — waiting areas can be crowded.

On the Day

  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment time.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — the X-ray requires removing upper garments.
  • The entire process typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
  • You will not receive results on the day — they are uploaded to the Wafid portal within 3–5 working days.
